Helen Keller Intl Country Management Team Pays an Advocacy Visit to KTHSMB General Manager
The Country Management Team (CMT) of Helen Keller International paid an advocacy visit to the General Manager of the Katsina State Hospital Services Management Board (KTHSMB), Dr. Muhammad Nazir Shehu.
The visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration and discussing ongoing health interventions geared toward improving healthcare delivery, nutrition, and disease control programs across Katsina State.
The Helen Keller International delegation comprised senior management officials, including:

- Sunday Ibrahim, Human Resource Director
- Salisu Ahmad, NTDs Program Manager
- Rahinatu Bala Ibrahim – Nutrition Program Officer

During the meeting, discussions centered on strengthening partnerships between Helen Keller Intl and KTHSMB in the areas of: Nutrition and maternal health programs, Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) interventions, Capacity building for healthcare personnel, Community health awareness and outreach, and Sustainable healthcare support and development initiatives
The delegation highlighted the organization’s commitment to supporting health programs that improve the well-being of vulnerable populations, especially women and children.
In his remarks, Dr. Muhammad Nazir Shehu appreciated Helen Keller Intl for its continuous contributions toward improving public health and nutrition services in Katsina State.
He emphasized the importance of partnerships with development organizations in strengthening healthcare systems, improving service delivery, and addressing key public health challenges within the state.
The Country Management Team also reaffirmed its readiness to continue working closely with KTHSMB to achieve sustainable and impactful healthcare outcomes.
