KTSHMB Conducts Three-Day Orientation Tour for Katsina State Medical Students at ABU Zaria, BUK Kano, and UDU Sokoto
The Katsina State Hospital Services Management Board (KTSHMB) conducted an orientation tour for Katsina State indigene medical students studying at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Bayero University, Kano, from Tuesday, 10th to Thursday, 12th February 2026. The engagement was aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Board and future medical professionals from the state while reinforcing government policies designed to support their academic and professional growth. In continuation of the exercise, the orientation session for students at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, was to hold on Wednesday, 18th February, 2026. This extended engagement further demonstrates KTSHMB’s commitment to ensuring that all Katsina State medical students across partnering institutions are properly guided on the Medical Student Salary Scheme, bond service obligations, and the career opportunities available to them upon successful completion of their studies.
The orientation tour, which lasted one day at each institution, provided an interactive platform for the students to better understand the Katsina State Medical Student Salary Scheme and the expectations attached to it. The initiative reflects the Katsina State Government’s commitment to investing in human capital development within the health sector and ensuring sustainable healthcare delivery across the state.
Re-Orienting Students on the Salary Scheme
During the sessions, the students were re-oriented on the objectives and structure of the Katsina State Medical Student Salary Scheme.
