UNICEF Team Pays Courtesy Visit to KTHSMB General Manager
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) team paid a courtesy visit to the General Manager of the Katsina State Hospital Services Management Board (KTHSMB), Dr. Muhammad Nazir Shehu, to strengthen collaboration on nutrition and healthcare interventions in Katsina State.
The meeting served as a platform for strategic engagement and knowledge sharing, focusing on the review of ongoing pilot activities and the documentation of lessons learned to inform future health and nutrition programming.
The primary objective of the visit was to hold a briefing meeting on the review of pilot activities implemented in partnership with KTHSMB and to document key learnings, successes, challenges, and best practices. These insights will help guide the design and implementation of future interventions aimed at improving nutrition and health outcomes across the state.

Particular emphasis was placed on documenting experiences and evidence that can be replicated and scaled up to benefit more communities.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between UNICEF and KTHSMB in advancing maternal, newborn, and child health, improving nutrition services, and enhancing the capacity of healthcare workers across Katsina State.
